Dr Timothy Woodacre
- Dear Aberavon SLSC,
Sorry to bother you. I am a doctor (and surfer!), based in the SW and currently doing a masters degree in sports and exercise medicine. I was wondering if you might post the following links to 2 quick 10-question online surveys about surfing and paddleboarding on your forum, or email them to your surf members. Anyone who completes each survey is entered into 2 separate prize draws for a £50 voucher to a local watersports shop of their choice.
Your help would be greatly appreciated,
Tim Woodacre

- Hi,
The middle surf cam always seems to stick on a view for days...just wondering if the camera could be changed to one of the other reliable ones say, the one that looks at the river (right) or even have two facing the main bit, facing straight out... that surfers really want to see...and to be the most useful. Just a thought Alan

- I write for porttalbotmagnet.com, the community news website for Port Talbot, and I wondered whether you could get in touch with more information about the public meeting about the Afan Lido on the 28th? Any details would be gratefully received if you know who has set it up and what will be discussed.
Best wishes,
Rachel

- I am contacting you about recruiting lifeguards (Male or Female) for the summer of 2012 (June, July, and August). I am the Captain of North Bethany Beach Patrol, Delaware, USA. http://nbbp.tripod.com/index.html Though our tradition in lifesaving is not as in depth as the top clubs in Australia, we have several National Champions aboard. Our lifeguards work an hourly payroll (Starting at $12 an hour) in the summer and all guards are paid to work out and train for competitions. We have surfskis, boards, and row boats available. Our lifeguards compete in weekly lifesaving events and our top athletes compete in the regional and national championships. If anyone from your club is interested in working this summer in the States, please have them contact me. Thank you, Steve soboyle@irsd.k12.de.us

- I would like to invite your members to The Padstow to Rock Swim 2012. The date is Sunday 1st July, entry is £35 and every swimmer is asked to raise as much money as possible as the event is raising valuable funds for the Marie Curie Nursing Service.
Places are limited so early registration is recommended to avoid disappointment.
Visit www.padstowtorockswim.org.uk or email lynda.thomas@mariecurie.org.uk for entry forms.
Thank you
